slim hollowed tube, with a circular button-like top and a hook attached to its side, cast on top with a bear motif in high relief, Japanese wood box (4).
Provenance: Mayuyama & Co., Ltd., Tokyo, acquired between 1960-1969.
Note: This type of fitting is called gaigongmao in Chinese, for the parasol used on a horse-driven chariot. Similar objects are found both in China and Korea.
