ProvenanceMaurice de Rothschild, Paris; on deposit at the Banque de Paris, from where it was confiscated by the Devisenschutz-Kommando following the Nazi occupation of Paris; Transferred to the Jeu de Paume (Einsatztab Reichsleiter Rosenberg no. R 2182), and from there to Lager Peter, Alt Aussee; Recovered by the Monuments, Fine Art and Archives Section; transferred to the Munich Central Collecting Point (MCCP no. 266/30), 20 June 1945; Repatriated to Paris, 25 June 1946, and restituted to the Rothschild collection.
