The interior of the blue and white dish is decorated in the center with two confronted dragons leaping amidst flames and clouds as they each grasp a flaming pearl below further dragons pursuing flaming pearls in the well. The exterior is similarly decorated above a band of petal lappets, all reserved on the underglaze-blue ground. The wucaidish is decorated in the interior with a pair of five-clawed dragons and a pair of phoenixes amidst scrolling, leafy floral stems, the design is repeated in the well and on the exterior, all within double blue-line borders.
