The bowl is finely painted with four medallions containing sprays of peach, pomegranate, hollyhock, lychee and rose, interspersed with pairs of lotus sprays, all reserved on a ruby ground delicately incised with feathery, scrolling tendrils. The interior is painted in underglaze blue with a medallion of a basket containing peaches, peony and rose, beneath four floral sprays incorperating aster, pomegranate, and lingzhi in the cavetto.The bowl is finely painted with four medallions containing sprays of peach, pomegranate, hollyhock, lychee and rose, interspersed with pairs of lotus sprays, all reserved on a ruby ground delicately incised with feathery, scrolling tendrils.
