The brush washer has shallow rounded sides that rise to a flat, everted rim, which is finely incised on the top and underside with bands of lotus meander, and a band of classic scroll is incised above the ring foot. The interior and exterior are covered with a pale aqua blue glaze, perhaps in imitation of qingbai, and the base is unglazed.
