the rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a flared rim, vividly painted to the interior in the style of the Master of the Rocks, depicting a sampan boat journeying across a river landscape flanked by rocky mountains, cottages and trees, the exterior with sprigs of bamboo, the base inscribed with an apocryphal Jiajing mark.
