The heavily potted jar is painted in bright purplish-blue tones with four five-clawed dragons, one shown full face with its body twisted around a flaming pearl, and the other three striding around the sides, all above a band of roiling waves that encircle the base, wood stand. An apocryphal Qianlong mark is in a line below the rim.
