each with deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to a slightly everted rim, brightly enamelled around the exterior with leafy foliate medallions divided by strapwork, the interior with a medallion enclosing a feathery scroll, the larger bowl with an underglaze-blue apocryphal Chenghua mark to the base, the smaller with an apocryphal Xuande mark.
