The body is of characteristic meiping shape with the rounded shoulder tapering down to the foot, carved with diagonal lines forming a trellis pattern, set between a band of narrow petals below and undulating lines above, all under a glaze of olive-green colour, Japanese wood box.
Provenance: A Japanese private collection, Kyoto, acquired in the first half of the 20th century.
