The top attractively inlaid in a geometric pattern with fine strips of spotted bamboo, set within the wide rectangular frame with beaded, 'ice-plate' edge, above plain aprons and apron-head spandrels, all supported on legs of rounded section joined by pairs of stretchers.
Note: The present table is a superb example of the highly successful combination of huanghuali and spotted bamboo. Here the craftsman has meticulously inlaid the bamboo in an elaborate diamond-shaped pattern. The result is a pleasing aesthetic, with the mottled lighter bamboo providing an attractive contrast to the darker, lustrous grain of the huanghuali.
