the pear-shaped body rising to a slender neck, supported on a slightly splayed foot, with a deep-red glaze applied to the exterior, stopping evenly at the foot, the interior and recessed base glazed white.

A Yongzheng mark and period vase in The Zhuyuetang Collection, its shape similar to the present example, is illustrated in Shimmering Colours, Hong Kong, 2005, pl. 41, p. 103.
