The vase has a compressed, high-shouldered bulbous body, tapering towards the foot and towards the flanged neck, covered with a lustrous blackish-brown glaze decorated with russet splashes with abstract motifs. The glaze is thinned on the sharp edges of the waisted mouth rim, falling in a slightly irregular line from the unglazed foot. The base is similarly glazed.
