The globular body is carved with a continuous scene of leafy plantain and rocks in a fenced garden, above a band of upright overlapping petals, and below bands of gardenia and hibiscus scrolls. The vase is covered overall with an even glaze of pale olive tone with the exception of the foot rim.

Provenance: AA Japanese Private Collection, actively collecting prior to the 1980s.
