with deep rounded sides supported on a gently tapered foot, rising to a wide rim, richly painted around the exterior in shades of deep cobalt blue accented by 'heaping and piling' with a row of beribboned bajixiang ('Eight Buddhst Emblems'), each resting atop a large lotus bloom wreathed in scrolling foliage, all above a lappet border and tumultuous waves, the interior with a central medallion enclosing a double vajra and collared with a band of cresting waves around the rim, the base with a six-character reign mark in underglaze blue within a double circle.
