Christie's Paris - The Splendors auction realised a total of €7,792,000 - 30 October 2019

PARIS - The Splendors auction, hosted in Paris on 30 October, realised strong results for exceptional pieces such as a Songye figure from Democratic Republic of Congo which sold for €2,290,000 against a presale estimate of €700,000-1,000,000. Other highlights included a  Ligbi mask from Ivory Coast from the former collection of the Barbier Muller museum, which realised €1,234,000, doubling its presale estimate and establishing a world auction record for a Ligbi work of art; and...
