Each decorated with exotic birds on rocky banks amongst flowering peony, within borders of lotus blooms and floral cartouches on foliate scroll grounds, bearing the arms of Jacob Pelgrom of Holland.
Provenance: This dish was part of a dinner service made for Jacob Pelgrom, a VOC merchant who rose to become Director-General of Bengal (India).
