cast with eight arms and eleven heads arranged in four tiers and surmounted by Amitabha, standing on a double-lotus base, the principle hands held in anjali mudra, the others fanned out and holding respective attributes, adorned with beaded jewellery and clad in a long scarf with ends flowing down to the feet and a dhoti detailed with incised floral borders.
Provenance: Collection of Astrid Ibsen-Sørensen (1892-1987), collected in China before 1936.
