with rounded sides rising from a slightly splayed foot to a six-lobed rim, applied overall save for the footring with a greyish-green glaze.
Note: See a smaller bowl (12.2 cm) in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, similarly potted with six lobes resting on a short foot and dated to the Five Dynasties to early Northern Song dynasty, illustrated in Rose Kerr, Song Dynasty Ceramics, London, 2004, nos 8 and 8a.
