de forme ronde, le boitier extérieur ajouré des huit symboles bajixiang ornés de rubans parmi les nuées, révélant le mécanisme interne, le cadran en émail blanc avec chiffres en caractères chinois, répétition à deux marteaux, mouvement à fusée chaîne et avec échappement à verge, le balancier monté sur la platine de fond, couvercle en verre dans un cadre en bronze doré, caractère 'zhong' incisé a la base.
