Made in imitation of an archaistic rhino horn libation cup, the cup is of flared quatrefoil form rising from a tall splayed foot. Decorated with archaistic designs, to the upper body four applied chilong shown scrambling around the vessel, a further five applied in high relief openwork forming the handle. At either side of the central raised band a confronting taotie mask, flanked above and below by a band of stiff leaves. Covered in celadon-tinted white glaze.
