A well-painted blue and white bowl, Kangxi period (1662-1722)

The deep, rounded sides are decorated on the exterior with two mounted scholars approaching a fenced compound where a woman greets a man carrying a basket of flowers, while another woman in the pavilion fixes her hair before a mirror. A poem is on the reverse. The center of the interior is decorated with two scholars seated in a landscape below a band of babao and diaper at the rim. An apocryphal Chenghua mark is on the base, wood stand.
