A blue and white 'lotus' bowl, Kangxi six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle and of the period (1662-1722)

Well painted in bright tones of blue in the center of the interior with a lotus spray medallion repeated as a continuous frieze on the sides of the well and the exterior, below a narrow band of demi-lotus plants at the rim on the interior and above a band of overlapping petal tips on the exterior. 

Note: A pair of Kangxi-marked lotus bowls of the same size was sold in our Hong Kong rooms, 27 May 2008, lot 1821.
