Each large lobed bowl is decorated to the exterior with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, Bajixiang, alternating with lotus stems and stylized Shou characters, all below a band of ruyi-heads to the mouth rim. The interior rim is decorated with a band of shaped cartouches with further emblems reserved on a geometrical ground.

Provenance: Acquired by the current vendor's father in Europe in the early 20th Century.
