vividly painted in bright enamels against an underglaze-blue outline with a three colourful phoenix encircling a lotus flower, set against a dense foliate scroll ground, the exterior similarly decorated with four phoenix alternating with lotus flowers on a foliate scroll ground, the underglaze-blue reign mark inscribed on the base.
