A Dehua censer, 17th-18th century

The censer has a compressed body raised on a spreading foot, and a pair of lion-mask handles just below the waisted neck, which rises to a flat rim. An indecipherable seal mark is impressed on the base, and the censer is covered with a glaze of creamy color that continues over the rim but does not cover the lower part of the interior.
