Lot 3982. A fine and very rare early Ming white-glazed wine cup, Xuande six-character mark and of the period (1426-1435); 8 3/8 in. (21.2 cm.) diam. Estimate 500,000 - HKD 700,000. Price realised HKD 2,900,000© Christie's Images Ltd 2012. 

The cup is thinly potted with flaring sides and slightly everted rim under even milky-white glaze, supported on a cylindrical foot and the base inscribed with the reign mark in underglaze blue.
