The pendant is carved and pierced as a large double gourd, on both sides with two characters Da Ji, 'Great Auspiciousness', flanked on each side of the upper bulb with a smaller double gourd issuing from leafy swirling vines. The bright green stone is suffused with milky mottling and concentrated areas of dark-grey inclusions.
Note: An identification report from Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory Limited confirms that the present lot is natural green jadeite.
