The trapezoidal seal is incised on four sides with the Four Gentleman, prunus, bamboo, orchid and chrysanthemum, surmounted by a finial in the form of a qilin grasping a stem in its mouth which terminates with a pearl. The stone varies from a brilliant apple green tone to a milky yellowish-green colour, with minor russet streaks.
Note: An identification report from Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory Limited confirms that the present lot is natural green jadeite.
