The stone is carved in the form of a finger citron with a cylindrical receptacle borne atop a leafy branch carved in openwork. The semi-translucent stone is of a mottled apple-green tone, wood stand, box.
Provenance: European private collection, acquired in the 1970s or prior.
Note: A gemological certificate from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory Limited and a gemological report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory Ltd, London, confirms the present lot is natural green jadeite.
