the mitred frame inset with two panels above a narrow recessed waist and apron of arched, curvilinear form with a beaded edge, continuing onto cabriole legs, resting on rounded ball feet, the underside with three traverse stretchers.
Provenance: Collection of Dr J. Vixseboxse (1916-1986), Dutch sinologist and diplomat. Acquired in China in the 1940s-70s, and thence by descent.
