the irregular heart-shaped vessel conforming with the natural form of the root, the exterior with clusters of dense textured burls and a knop on one side, the interior decorated in red, the tip of the underside inscribed with a two-character seal mark reading Yuan Mei, the exterior well patinated to a deep honey-brown tone.
