Each high-shouldered vase is decorated on each side with a shaped panel enclosing flowering plants, with tree peony and herbaceous peony on one vase, chrysanthemum with roses and poppies with grasses on the other vase, all growing amidst blue rocks, with butterflies and insects hovering above, and separated by blue chilong reserved on the bold, floral diaper ground between panels of qilin below and various flowers on the cylindrical neck above.
