The emaciated luohan is shown seated with hands held before the body. He wears loose robes draped either side of the bony chest, and a dhoti tied at the waist. His face is crisply carved with prominent cheekbones, short curly beard, mustache and eyebrows, and is set in a contemplative expression. His curly hair is bound by a narrow fillet, box.
