Lot 12. Three jade axes, Northwest China, 2nd millennium BC; The largest, 83⁄8 in. (21.2 cm.) long, cloth boxes. Estimate USD 2,000 - USD 3,000. Price Realised USD 5,250. © Christie's Images Ltd 2020
Each axe is of rectangular shape and has a hafting hole at one end. One axe is of dark olive-green jade, the other is of pale greenish-grey jade, and the small, thin axe is of olive-green jade.
