The heavily potted jar is decorated with foliate scrolls bearing various fruits and flowers, interspersed with sea shells, double-gourds, bamboo shoots, and Buddhist emblems, between borders of classic scroll and ruyi heads. The domed cover is decorated with further foliate scrolls, and is surmounted by a pearl-shaped finial.
