of ovoid form, the well rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to a short neck set with a flange below the lipped rim, freely painted around the body with russet brushstrokes forming stylized abstract foliate motifs, all against a glossy black glaze stopping above the foot to reveal the buff-colored stoneware body.
