sturdily potted with the tapering sides rising from a countersunk base to broad shoulders below a short neck, covered overall with a lustrous black glaze accentuated around the exterior with vertical russet streaks, the mouth rim and foot ring left unglazed revealing the buff-colored stoneware body.
