well potted with the deep, gently rounded sides rising from a short splayed foot to an inverted rim, covered overall with a lustrous russet-mottled black glaze, accentuated to the interior with three freely irregular splashes of metallic russet, the glaze falling short above the foot to reveal the buff-colored stoneware body.
