Le peintre et le poète : Moreau et La Fontaine dans l'exposition du Musée Gustave Moreau
PARIS - Le Musée Gustave Moreau présente une sélection d’aquarelles et études préparatoires qui ont servi à l’artiste pour l’élaboration de l’extraordinaire série des Fables. Ce sont non seulement des dessins et essais au crayon, à la plume ou à l’aquarelle qui seront exposés mais aussi des compositions d’ensemble très abouties. Ces œuvres, choisies parmi les 263 dessins préparatoires, ont été réalisées entre 1879 et 1884. Elles éclairent la genèse de l’exceptionnelle commande faite à Gustave Moreau par Antony Roux.
