the deep, slightly incurved walls supported on a short straight foot, below a flat domed cover with a sloping everted rim and belt buckle-form finial, both covered in an ivory-white glaze pooling in characteristic teardrops along the lower reaches of the jar, the base unglazed and inscribed with a yue character.
