the hexagonal body supported on a high spreading foot painted with a band of 'Fo' dogs amidst auspicious symbols and flowers, the tall waisted neck similarly painted with cranes flying amidst ruyi clouds, applied at the shoulder with a tall loop handle and a long curved spout linked to the neck with a strut, the handle and strut mounted in silver.

Provenance: Formerly in the collection of the Admiral commander of the French Orient fleet at the beginning of the 20th century, and thence by family descent.
