The centre is enamelled in a rich palette with luxuriant summer flowers on a green and pink spotted finger citron, the everted rim with three detached branches including pink begonia and japonica, the underside covered with an even rose pink enamel. Collector's label and exhibition label at the base.
Provenance: From an important private collection in southern Germany, collected between 1950 and 1987, this plate was acquired at Sotheby's London, 25.3.1975, lot 127 from the Alfred and Ivy Clark collection, no. 812.
