Property from an English private collection.

each with rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a gently flaring rim, the interior with a needled mark 'Xianglin' 象林, and brightly painted in red and green with a central four lobed medallion enclosing a chrysanthemum reserved against an iron-red grains ground, the exterior similarly decorated.

Provenance: Collection of Lord Michael Sandberg, Baron Sandberg, thence by descent in the family.

Note: Lord Michael Sandberg (1927-2017) was executive chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in Hong Kong from 1977 to 1986.
