A Greek private collection.
Exhibited: Imperial Porcelain of Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong, S Marchant & Son, London, 1996, cat. no. 36.
Note: It is extremely rare to find any green-glazed bowl from the Qianlong reign. The current bowl, enveloped in an attractive vivid green glaze, but without any carved decoration, is of unusually large size. No other example appears to be recorded in any private or public museum. It was formerly in the collection of Edward T. Hall (1924-2001), whose single-owner sale of exceptional monochromes met with great success in these rooms, 2nd May 2000.
