Provenance: Collection of Henry Mazot (1882-1956).
Note: The pair to this bowl was included in the exhibition Qing Porcelain from Three Private Collections, S. Marchant & Son, London, 2019, cat. no. 8. A similar pair of bowls from the Edward T. Chow collection was sold in these rooms, 25th November 1980, lot 146; and another was included in the exhibition Qing Mark and Period Monochromes and Enamelled Wares, S. Marchant & Son, London, 1981, cat. no. 23.
This bowl was acquired directly from the family collection of Henry Mazot (1882-1956), who lived and worked in Beijing from the 1920s for the Bank of Indochina where he served as Chairman.
