Lot 90. A pair of blanc-de-chine 'Dutchmen' whistles, Kangxi period (1662-1722); 7cm (2 6/8in) high. (2). Sold for €1,083.75 (Estimate € 200-300). Photo Fabrice Gousset.
Each modelled as a Dutchman wearing a tricorn hat, cravat and buttoned jacket, with his left foot resting on a dog, both on a hollow hexagonal base with incised cartouches containing animals and plants.
Provenance: Jean-Pierre Rousset, Paris (1936-2021).
