The box has straight sides tapering in towards the base and is raised on a small ring foot. The flat cover with beveled edge is divided into six equal lobes by deep notches embellished with finely incised feathery lines. Both are covered overall with a transparent glaze of ivory tone.

The bowl has rounded flared sides that rise from the small knife-cut foot to the notched, petal-lobed rim, and is covered overall with a glaze of rich, slightly lustrous reddish-brown color that thins on the rim and also covers the base.
