Detailed openwork depicting immortals and monkeys in the peach orchard of longevity springing from the mouth of a dragon. Finely carved wood base. Restored and some damages.
Provenance: - According to a handwritten inventory of 2003 this item has been purchased at Sotheby's (ca. 1970). Originally a pair, the twin has been published several times in the Apollo magazine (1971, 1973 and 1976).
