Provenance: Collection of Chen Jinghui (1897-1951), and thence by descent.
Chen Jinghui (1897-1951), graduated from Xiamen Tongwen Academy, subsequently serving as a comprador for the Dutch Java China Japan Line. At the end of 1942, he assumed the position of Secretary-General for the U.S. Army stationed in Fujian and spearheaded the establishment of the intelligence service system for the U.S. Army's Fourteenth Air Force in Fujian. Following Chen's death in 1951, his family relocated to Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
