A pair of celadon-ground iron-red-decorated 'Phoenix' bowls, Daoguang six-character seal marks in underglaze-blue and of the period (1821-1850). The exterior is finely painted with peony blossoms growing beside a rocky bed and a small insect flying amongst them.
